Lung cancer forms as a result of abnormalities in the body cells. this type of cancer is very common in men and not so common to women.
This cancer generates as a result of smoking, 90% of lung cancer issues is as a result of tobacco intake, some persons smoke cigarette as a result of the weather why some especially in Africa smoke cigarette in other to act as a stimulant for energy (highness). Chain smokers who have had approximately 30-40 packs in their life have higher risk for developing lung cancer.
Other forms of smoking such as pipes and cigar can also lead to lung cancer but not compared to those that smoke cigarettes.
Science has it that tobacco contains 4000 chemical compound and many are cancer causing or carcinogenic, lung cancers can start in any part of the lung but 90-95% of the lung cancer starts from epithelial cells, the cells connecting the larger and smaller airways.
Passive smoking
passive smoking is the inhaling of tobacco smoke from a smoker, research has it that people who live with smokers have 24% risk of developing lung cancer, in the US record has it that 3,000 deaths of lung cancer patients are caused by passive smoking.
